After setting up this blog, I figured it would be befitting to dedicate my first blog post to telling you a little about me. You probably know a thing or two about me if you follow me on Instagram, know me personally, or checked my recent interview on CIA Lagos website but it won’t hurt to reintroduce myself.

Exactly one year ago, I posted a brief description of myself on my Instagram introducing myself as The Fashion Architect. For me, it was more than just an Instagram caption. It was the beginning of a journey, a journey of self-discovery. From that day onward, I began paying more attention to myself. I knew in my heart that I needed a way to express myself. The world needs to see me for who I am and what I have to offer.
If you want to stay relevant and innovative, you have to make something happen

You are the person already
Just put yourself in that space
-Pharrell Williams
These words were my motivation. I needed to make something happen. How do I go about this? I honestly had no idea. Then, I began to ask myself what I wanted to do. I know I have an interest in fashion and I hope to be a fashion stylist someday, but I also wasn’t ready to combine this with my course of study-architecture even though I was in my final year as an undergraduate. I am currently running my Maters program also in Architecture.
Someone once told me that “the first step in achieving anything is by knowing something needed to be achieved”. So, I knew I needed a platform to express my fashion ideas. I thought of starting a blog when I was in my final year as an undergraduate but I did not know if I was ready then. Well, I finally decided to conquer my fears.
I call myself The Fashion Architect because I want to bring fashion and architecture together, find a common ground and express myself through it. It is still a lot blurry to me. Nonetheless, I have taken the first step which is acknowledging myself.
